Daniil majored in accounting while studying towards his bachelor’s degree. Immediately after graduating, he became an auditor at KPMG only to find out that accounting in classroom was a bit more exciting than in real life. He wasn’t good at the job, and he wasn’t promoted after his second year, which in a Big Four company means they want you out.
Daniil then pivoted and joined Wrigley as a management trainee, where he rotated between various departments. In his second year there, he was fired because he performed poorly.
Then he joined Heineken and became a sales analyst there. After just three weeks, his boss quit, and Daniil thought it was bad luck again. As it turned out, it was a blessing—he inherited a Power Pivot data model, which he then turned into an Analysis Services Tabular model. At the same time, he was introduced to Power BI, and this is how his story began!
